projectdescription Albedo A gazebo stands at the bottom of a former stone quarry in Beckum. Nevertheless, Kemps work is not an afterthought added to an existing site. Albedo is an inverted landscape panorama with a strong concentric movement inward. The viewer experiences the Münsterland as if he were in the middle of an implosion. The Albedo functions like the centre of a whirlpool, allowing one to look out from the deepest point of the landscape. In tracing the depths and layers, the many facets of visual perception are discovered. Beckum, old stone quarry between Vorhelmer Str. and Ahlener Str. map (download PDF) |
